Honourable Tom Hedderson (Minister of Education)

Minister of Education

Education Minister Tom Hedderson said, “This is a remarkable thing we have gathered to celebrate this morning - the 12,000th computer to be donated to our schools. It is not only a celebration of this one solitary computer - it is a celebration of a successful partnership that is benefiting our students province wide, and indeed across all of Canada. The success of the Computers for Schools program is a wonderful example of the power of the spirit of cooperation in the delivery of quality education to children in our province and our country.”

There is no greater illustration whereby community partners work towards helping young persons reach this necessary self-fulfillment than the Computers for Schools network. The corporate world, the public sector and many private citizens combine resources to ensure that our young people have the opportunities to learn how to fully participate in the new digital world.”
