Effective immediately, Computers for Schools NL is changing its name to Computers for Success NL following the federal government’s decision to discontinue the national Computers for Schools Plus program and end its operational funding. Because the federal government no longer supports the initiative, we are transitioning to an independent model under the Computers for Success banner to ensure our province does not lose this vital resource. While we are disappointed by this federal withdrawal, our commitment to bridging the digital divide remains unchanged; our new name reflects an expanded mission to empower not only local classrooms but also the non-profits, charities, and low-income families who rely on refurbished technology to succeed in today’s digital world.
